In this Internal Coaching Community of Practice session, Dr Will Parks will share lessons learned during his coaching journey within the United Nations: from making coaching an integral part of his leadership style to his formal team coach training and ICF credentialing. He will highlight why coaching one-on-one and coaching teams should be vital tools within every leader's toolbox. He will conclude by outlining some of the steps that coaches can take to help leaders develop their own coaching capacity.



The Speaker:


Dr Will Parks - UNICEF Representative, Kingdom of Bhutan - A dynamic leader and successful coach, for the last 29 years in 43 countries, Will has directed the design and management of programmes that achieved strong results for children while building capacities of organizational teams, communities, governments, civil society, academia, businesses, media, and international agencies. He specializes in economics, public health, communication, evaluation, leadership, and coaching. To date, he has authored and co-authored 35 publications including books, book chapters, and journal articles as well as presented at 40 international conferences and workshops. Will is a Team Transformation Master Coach (certified through the Coach Transformation Academy), a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and an ICF Associate Certified Coach. He is currently writing a book on Leading with Compassion.
