Event Details

We have our esteemed Speaker Sophie Tay with us at the upcoming June Monthly Members Event, who will be sharing with us on "Coaching With A Transactional Analysis Lens".

Sophie Tay, MCC, ICF

Sophie is a Master Certified Coach (MCC) conferred by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS) credentialed by the National Career Development Association's NCDA Credentialing Commission. She also holds a Master of Social Science in Professional Counselling from Swinburne University, Melbourne, and a Master in Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Sydney. A former Head of Treasury Markets with a foreign bank, Sophie has first-hand experience of what it takes to motivate and be successful in relationship management and leadership in a stressful and results-oriented environment. As a Facilitator and Coach in her current role, she frequently uses the concepts and models of Transactional Analysis, a form of social psychology, in her work with clients.

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a form of social psychology that provides us with concepts and tools to understand who we are and our patterns of behaviour. The goal of transactional analysis is to increase awareness and promote personal growth and change. Participants are encouraged to participate actively in breakout room discussions, group exercises, and quizzes.

By joining the session, you will:

  • be able to Demonstrate Ethical Practice using the concept of Contracting and provide clarity on the roles, responsibilities, and professional standards expected of a certified coach.
  • be able to cultivate and deepen the Embodiment of a Coaching Mindset with the understanding of TA philosophical assumptions and be the safe container for clients' change through a full partnership with the clients.
  • recognize the Life Positions of clients and partner him/her to choose what he/she wants to accomplish from the coaching session and co-create the process of change using iceberg theory.
  • practice Listening Actively using Ego States Model and recognizing where clients are stuck and inviting clients to choose the direction for change.

See you all soon!
