Join us for this online session facilitated by Emma Noguchi (MCC) and Ann Wright (PCC), Narrative Coach Certified. In this 60-minute introductory session on narrative coaching, coaches will gain an understanding and experience using the Narrative Coaching model. Narrative Coaching is a powerful approach that helps clients explore, understand and reshape their stories. In this session, we will also examine our story as a coach so we can support our clients to achieve greater growth and transformation.


Session Objectives:

  • Understand the key principles of Narrative Coaching
  • Develop awareness of how personal narratives impact coaches and clients
  • Have an opportunity to practice a narrative approach to Coaching


This session has been approved for 1.0 CCE units in Core Competencies and 0.5 in Resource Development.

    Emma Noguchi is passionate about unleashing potential in leaders so they can bring their teams to the next level of performance, engagement, and wellbeing.

    Starting her career in Japan, Emma worked in large advertising and communication agencies to create impactful media campaigns for her clients. She then moved to Singapore for a regional role but soon found herself reinventing her career. She became a Coach and a Management Consultant to focus on People and Culture in organisations. With her mixed cultural background, she focuses her coaching around DEIB topics (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging) especially as teams are increasingly hybrid, multicultural, diverse, and dispersed geographically.

    Her latest venture is a Coaching Institute to train and certify professional managers in coaching skills.

    She has worked with a wider range of organisations across Asia and Europe in both public and private sectors. Some of her clients include Google, Meta, WHO, European Commission, UNICEF, BGC, Microsoft, Prudential, Shiseido, Suntory, etc.

    She’s known to be very versatile, very caring and committed to supporting her clients to get to the truth of what really matters for them.


    When not working, Emma loves travelling, hiking, and playing in the metaverse virtual reality. She wants to bring the magic of coaching there too!

    Ann Wright

    Ann Wright is an Executive Coach, Coach Mentor and Supervisor. Previously a senior manager in human resources, operational and organisational development, Ann’s coaching is informed by her understanding of, experience as and commitment to powerful and personable leadership.

    Ann offers insightful guidance and appropriate challenge for her executive clients to navigate role transitions and develop personally and professionally. She is facilitative, solutions focused, analytic and curious working with her clients to realign their performance and perceptions and achieve their chosen outcomes.

    She is a certified Narrative Coach which informs her approach to coaching, coach mentoring and supervision.  Her focus is supporting clients create a personal narrative and presence that enables them and their clients to flourish.

    She has worked with a range of organisations in both Australia and New Zealand especially in the private, public and NFP sectors including aviation, IT, transport, regulation, health, tertiary education, membership, and professional services. Ann also delivered programs to develop coaching skills for professional managers and leaders for the federal government in Australia.

    Ann has been working as an executive coach for ten years and trains coaches for the Graduate Certificate of Organisational Coaching at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia.
