The Internal Coaching and Coaching Supervision Communities of Practice jointly present a CP session on Supervision for Internal Coaches.
Supervision is becoming a necessary and established practice for the continuing professional development of coaches. Internal coaching is one of the fastest-growing modalities for delivery coaching. Recently, there emerged a recognition that these coaches, often called "Job Plus" coaches (because they take on their duties as an internal coach in addition to the primary responsibilities) surely need Supervision too. Especially since they have unique ethical challenges of sometimes being too close to their clients. This session will look at what is unique about Supervision for Internal Coaches and how these challenges are being met.
The Speaker:
Hermann Ditzig has been in Singapore since 1984, a member of ICF since 2004, and a member of the Singapore ICF Executive Committee from 2014 till he stepped down this year (January 2022). He is an Executive Coach and a Certified Coaching Supervisor from CSA (since 2019). He holds Masters degrees in Sociology and Organization Science and Development. He was Past President of the chapter (2016) and founded and led the chapter's Research Committee in 2015. Given his natural sociological curiosity of emerging professions he has produced a compilation of what is emerging in the sub-field of Supervision of Internal Coaching.
